Broken Glass Torte is the kind of vintage dessert that earns attention before the first bite. Cubes of orange, lime and strawberry gelatin are suspended in a creamy filling over a graham-cracker crust, creating the stained-glass effect that gives the dessert its name.
The source specifically calls it a good Christmas dessert and even suggests adding lemon gelatin if you want more color. That makes the visual contrast part of the recipe’s identity—not an embellishment added later. The result is cool, creamy, colorful and unmistakably rooted in the era of molded and gelatin desserts.
